THE CUSTOMER

Re:Humanism is a cultural association, born in 2020 to structure a series of activities such as exhibitions, festivals, conferences and educational projects in order to investigate the relationship between humanism and science, with an important focus linked to research on artificial intelligence.

The project started in 2018 thanks to the generous support of Alan Advantage, an innovation consultancy company focused on open innovation and startups business development.

The main activity of Re:Humanism is the art prize, now in its second edition and characterized by an open call for international artists, economic prizes and an important exhibition on Rome.

After launching the art prize, Re:Humanism pursues the goal of expanding its range of action, also engaging in other cultural, research and educational activities.

DETAILS

On the occasion of the second edition titled Re:define the boundaries, Hueval was the technical partner of Re:Humanism Art Prize.
Our team supported the curatorial staff in the conception of the visual identity and in the setup of the final exhibition that was held in May 2021 at MAXXI.

The transformation of the concepts of body and identity in the age of artificial intelligence and the consequent political implications, the new modes of production, the changes brought about by robotics and machine learning, the definition of an anthropological approach to AI and the visions on the future of our planet are all key themes of this edition. Themes that the artists have interpreted following different paths.

Our team supported the artistic curatorship on an ongoing basis from the concept for the launch of the new call for artists 2020 to the setting up of the exhibition at the Maxxi in Rome held throughout the month of May 2021.

Specifically, we dealt with:

  • Creation of the new re-humanism.com website.
  • Creation of the new graphic concept for the new edition of the Art Prize.
  • Setting up of exhibition spaces at Maxxi and video.
  • Realization of a photo shoot for opening and exhibition set up.
  • Realization of video interviews on site + other videos.
  • Streaming press conference organization.
  • Gadget production.
  • Project Management and Dedicated Accounting.
  • Design and production of print media.
  • Online ticket booking management.
  • Organization and direction of 5 online talks dedicated to the event.
  • Social campaign management.

CREATIVE IDEA

The Re:Humanism program, one of a kind, has always had a very strong, complex and articulated identity, the result of the combination of contemporary art and artificial intelligence that is the basis of the project.

In Hueval we supported the curatorship in creating a new visual identity that could tell through images the core concept of RE: DEFINE DE BOUNDARIES, in a complex historical moment, characterized by uncertainty and forced distancing, in which digital has become compulsively unique tool for use in various sectors.

The result, visible above all on the pages of the new website, is a story through videos, sounds, texts and images that takes Re: Humanism from the call for artists to the exhibition at the Maxxi in Rome.

MARKETING AND COMMUNICATION

We supported RE: DEFINE THE BOUNDARIES through specific communication and marketing campaigns dedicated to promoting the call for Artists, storytelling about competing artists and their works and booking tickets for the exhibition at the Maxxi Museum.

We have produced various types of promotional media, such as brochures, postcards and shopping bags: physical, tangible, precious objects in the days of the much-needed opening to the public in presence. We also produced a complete photo report of the exhibition opening day and a series of promotional videos with the protagonists of the new edition.

PREPARATION OF EXHIBITION SPACES

The staging of the exhibition, by the curatorship of Re: Humanism, was supported by Hueval right from the conception and design stage, up to the actual staging in the museum spaces.

NETWORKING and EDUCATION

The Art Prize 2021 was, in addition to an event with undisputed success with the public and critics, also a space for physical networking and cross-disciplinary dissemination. We organized the video talk program linked to RE: DEFINE THE BOUNDARIES with 5 LIVE streaming events on the Re:humanism Youtube channel, with international experts and protagonists related to the themes of the 2020-21 Art Prize.
