Fucina is a new-born startup, spinoff of a business consultancy specialised in the field of innovation and entrepreneurship. It aspires to gather a network of startups mainly revolving around hardware products, helping them build the skills they need to market their products from the very early stages.
The company board needed to design the entire brand from scratch: starting from the name to all the marketing tools and materials necessary to pursue its goals.
We started working on the name of the brand, trying to unite the concepts reflecting not only the character of the startup, but also manual labour and the company’s innovation.
We then opted for FUCINA (Forge), subsequently designing the company logo and brand image.
Reasoning on the proper font to pair to the logo, we have searched a highly recognizible font, particular but coherent with the entire brand image.
As for the colors, we have chosen pastel shades. The green we chose seemed ideal to indirectly refer issues such as sustainability, not strictly environmental, and to the sense of belonging to the whole community.
The board also needed to start as soon as possible both with digital communication and business events to present the new brand on the market and to potential investors. No need to say that the first step to take was a website. We designed a very incisive site, to attract both applications from startuppers and funds from new investors.
Marketing strategy and materials
To finalise the startup kit we provided to FUCINA, we also designed and printed all the necessary materials to allow the company to take part in events and meetings.
